During the Fern Ridge off-season, Lane County, as part of the 2018 Parks Master Plan goal of increasing volunteer participation, hired Michelle Hunt for the newly created position of Volunteer Coordinator. Working with Michelle, Parks Director, Brett Henry, and Head Park Ranger, Todd Bowen, we completed the process began last April to form Friends of Orchard Point Marina (FOPM) and we are now, I’m happy to report, certified to be able to hold our first Volunteer Work Party!
