Thursday Night Racing Preseason Skippers Meeting
Saturday, March 2, 2024 / 9am to 11am

This meeting is for all prospective EYC and TYC Thursday night racing skippers.
Topics
Determine interest in each fleet, number of starts and starting order. Current fleets are Portsmouth, Santana 20, PHRF, Wavelength and Multihull.
Determine PHRF A and B fleet racing options make decision if possible.
Assign Fleet Captains.
(Would like PHRF Fleet Captain to be from TYC)
Chicken, soft drinks, and some treats will be provided. Bring a side to share. RSVP to Fred according to the email invitation.
All TYC members and prospective members are encouraged to attend this club meeting for the purpose of electing new board members. Check your email for a Zoom link if you are unable to attend in person.

Dipsy-Doodle Dinghy Dash and Floating Feast. 1 p.m. captains’ meeting. 4 p.m. floating feast. Dinghy Dash is open to all personal powered water craft and sailing dinghies.
TYC Poker Run and Meteor Shower Raft-Up.
TYC Jack & Jill Fun Races.
There is no entry fee, or prizes other than bragging rights. Skippers should meet by A dock in Richardson Park Marina at 1:00 p.m.. This race requires 2 sailors . Traditionally on of each gender. Skipper and crew alternate each race.

TYC will be hosting the Single Handed races June 20,2023.
The courses will be determined before each start using the Thursday night format. There is no entry fee, or prizes other than bragging rights. Skippers meeting by A dock at 1:00. Richardson Park marina.

TYC Floating Feast - Potluck BBQ

TYC Dipsy-Doodle Dinghy Dash
The 2022 TYC Poker Run commences with a Skipper's Meeting at 2pm. Gary will have a table set up at the Richardson Marina pump-out station with details about the rules and your first card. There is a $5 buy-in, which becomes the prize money at the end of the game.
Players can sail or motor (or both) to draw cards from stations on the lake.
Card stations will be located at Orchard Point, Leakin' Leana, and the Center Pin.
Players may choose the order in which they retrieve their cards, but they must return to the starting point at Richardson within a 2-hour time limit to pick up their last card and finish the game.
Final cards are dealt when players return all materials used in the game (for re-use).
The Triton Yacht Club will be hosting the Jack and Jill race/races on Saturday July 23, 2022.
These races require on female and one male crew. One person will helm the boat in the first race, the other is crew. The second race the roles reverse. Succeeding races, the sailors will continue to alternate positions.
If you are interested in competing, please provide the following information:

Name of boat
Type of boat
PHRF rating if known.
Plan on meeting under the shade of a tree at the east end of Richardson Park Marina at noon. A skippers meeting will be held.
The “Dutchess” will then set a start/finish line at the center pin area of the Olympic circle. We will try to use the normal Thursday night courses. I will have copies available. - Jeff Longmore, TYC Member
Triton Yacht Club will be holding a single-hand race/races on Saturday July 16, 2022. If you are interested in participating, please provide the following information:

Please meet at Richardson Park marina at noon. We will gather under a shade tree near the east side of the parking lot. A skippers meeting will be held.
I will then proceed to the center pin to establish a start/finish line using my power boat “ The Dutchess”.
I will try to use the normal Thursday night courses. I will have copies of the course sheet for anyone not familiar with this format.
