The purposes of Triton Yacht Club are exclusively those allowed for organizations defined under §501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code. Within these limits, the purposes of Triton Yacht Club include the following:
To promote sailing and foster good will among all boaters.
To provide opportunities for association with others interested in boating.
To provide opportunities to learn the basics of sailing and racing; to promote the science and art of navigation and boat handling; and to spread the doctrine of water safety.
To exert influence upon government agencies and other groups for the benefit of boaters.
To provide opportunities for organized racing and cruising.
To serve as an information exchange disseminating information to club members and others about sailing and boating events in the area.
